Deputy CM, Sushil Kumar Modi at the inauguration of the four-day electric trade show organized on the premises of New Patna Club by Bihar Electric Trader’s Association said that Bihar has been ranked sixth in the country in terms of power availability, transmission capacity and power consumption. The present power availability in the state is adequate to cater the demand during peak hours.
The process of installing prepaid energy meters has already started by Bihar State Power Holding Corporation limited and this will be completed in next two years said by Modi. It will ensure the supply of power to the consumers according to their demand and to pay the bills online.
Rs. 55,000 Crore has been spent in the state over the last five years to improve the power position and infrastructural support system of the state.
