Ruling himself out of CM contention, Samajwadi Party’s Shivpal Yadav today endorsed Akhliesh Yadav for the chief ministerial nomination of his party for the upcoming assembly elections.
“Khoon mangoge toh khoon bhi de denge, CM kabhi nahi banana. (If they want blood, I’ll give it to them but I don’t want to be the chief minister),” said Shivpal during Samajwadi Party silver jubilee event in Uttar Pradesh.
The Samajwadi Party had replaced earlier Akhilesh Yadav with his uncle Shivpal Yadav as its new chief in Uttar Pradesh, in a move that puts the UP Chief Minister in direct confrontation with his father Mulayam Singh Yadav months before assembly elections in the state.
